Supposedly nikola tesla had this figured out and in the works way back in the day. All the push back over the years with electric cars, I guess everyone forgot or is oblivious that cars were originally steam powered.

   Studebaker was a leading electric car company , way back . They sold them for quite a few years , and sold electric trucks also.

Agree,   How cool would it be to never see or have to deal with overhead or buried electrical lines again ..or at least far fewer of them.. Instead,  all that might be needed would be sort of rooftop Satellite dish -like fixture that can capture then convert the energy.

Electric vehicles predate the Civil War. And tesla did prove his wireless electricity.  In Colorado or some crazy thing.
