According to the other thread its not cancelled.  Someone contacted BGI directly and they no longer sell directly from their website but have been making shipments to suppliers.

You can buy on Amazon again.

I ordered some more on Amazon (4 10ib bags) but the ship date is about a month from ordering.  But it's BGI's own store on there so hopefully they are expecting product.  I guess they are having trouble with production.  We'll see if it actually ships.

Carl Pool is what I use for outdoor trees.

Not a fan of Palmgain after trying it a few years ago.

If you don't have a huge area to cover, I like "Jack's Petunia FEED" for a water soluble fertilizer. It's 20-6-22 with a triple iron chelate (EDTA, DPTA, EDDHA), chelated trace minerals, and no chlorides.

Home Depot now carries 20 lb bags of Miraclegro Palm fertilizer and another one called Arizona's best.  No idea as to how good they are.

I do know that @Paradise Found likes the Dr Earth Exotic blend

How about foliar sprays, I see some that claim to re green yellowing fronds and didn’t think that was the case once they yellow they don’t become green again? And “Perfect Palm” fertilizer claims 5 degrees hardier if using their product. Seems bold.

I’ve done foliar spray before and it does actually work. Very yellow fronds on Trachys turned nice and green in no time. I’ve used a Southern AG product as well as the liquid seaweed extract.

I've used Miracle Gro palm fertilizer for a little bit now, in my potted palms, but not long enough to really render an opinion.  Their other fertilizer products seem to work well; I use regular MiracleGro soluble fertilizer in the 10 lb boxes (subdivided into smaller bags in the box) that I put into my EZ-FLO in line fertilizer/irrigation system for the desert garden.  The system automatically dilutes the fertilizer into the sprinkler water and covers the whole front yard.  The cacti, yuccas, agaves and palm trees have flourished with this (plus lots of sun exposure).

Well im Sold then, I’ve come to trust your info! I think the southern Ag is what I saw as well. Will give it a try. Seems like some of Patrick’s palms are a little deficient but I learned that is actually because of his water quality, which would be lame to have that in Patrick’s position.I own the class B well for our neighborhood and get my water from an Aquifer, filtered not treated, which has to be good for plants.

Carl Pool is what I use ,but I can get it at a local nursery. Only in small batches tho. I was gonna switch to palm gain, but now with this whole shipping fiasco might hold off.

I prefer to use liquid fertilizer on potted palms and newly established plants. When it rains it pours and I think the granulated stuff just runs off into the street. Nothing really seeps into clay except during a slow rain and that is usually during winters. If I make a water well around trunk then I use some granulated fertilizer. I bought a 50 pound bag of PalmGain last spring but never used it.

Right now I am using a combination of three liquid fertilizer for various new plants other than palms. I do have Jacks Petunia FeED but haven’t tried it on my potted palms. I have petunias.

Only palms in the ground that had nutrient issues were Filifera. I believe they were needing sul-po-mag. I have seeds I plan to start once I get the right soil and nutrients together her shortly.

My Jubaeax Syagrus is also having an issue similar...

The already extreme content of our sodium in water and total solids high PH make using chemical fertilizers a no go with city water. I mix it mostly with collected rain water.

I agree with @Collectorpalms as granular fertilizer has run off in sandy N. FL also. I do not use granulars from June-Oct to reduce pollution of retention ponds. Spikes have worked well as Liquids.

We had unusual heavy rains this spring, so I plugged my soil 3 times after applying granulars for palms, plants and grass to minimize run off.

Dang now I’m unsure if I should be using granular fertilizer cause I don’t want it running off and none of it going to use :bummed:

what are good liquid palm fertilizers?

Florikan, osmocote and palmgain contain coated pellets which release nutrients into the soil slowly so this is not the case.  In palmgains case I think it is the nitrogen which is slow release.

Does that mean palmgain is any good? I assumed it was since I’ve seen so many people talk about it. I don’t want my money to go to waste if it’s not useful to my palms in the ground or does soil type matter?

IMO palmgain one of the best.  Osmocote outdoor for pots.  But please lets not get into a fertilizer discussion.  Search on the forum

The slow release nitrogen in palmgain is sulfur coated urea which is just "ok" and can still spike release when the sulfur coating is degraded. Most of the nitrogen is water soluble ammonium sulfate though. Florikan sounds like a much better product, too bad I can't get here in TX.
