Does all palms bend away if they are growing close to a structure?

I see some palms are completly straight when next to the building. While others bend out a lot. Is this most likely just because they where transplanted when big or does certain species grow completly straight when planted next to a house or building? If so which species bends and which does not bend?

Most palms grow completely straight up,even when needing to pull towards the light. The strongest pullers I grow, definitely belong to the Gaussia genus. Med fans, also seem to pull. Some Butia...Most everything else I grow goes straight up,even when I wish it would bend;cause I planted too close to the house.

Sabal palmettos seem to have a tendency to bend away when planted up against a building:

But I’ve also seen them growing towards the building:

In an urban setting, those are probably planted as such. Sabals do tend to curve more. I almost never see Royals, Foxtails or Bismarck’s with a curve.

The edges of my clump of Christmas palms bend alot toward toward sun, not so at all in the center of clump.
