This one is a hybrid of Placyteriums Ridleyii x Coronatum.

No shield right now but it does have a bit of the veining of the ridleyii.  The "tail fronds" certainly are different from any of teh other types of Placyteriums.

I have not had the hang of growing this one though.

Another hybrid of Placyteriums Ridleyii x Coronatum.  This one grows much betterthan the other cross.  It looks like the coronatum but not quite.

This is Placyterium Coronatum - I think it looks even better than the hybrids-- even with the ridleyii genes mixed in.

But they can also be planted on the ground or in baskets.  

This one is planted on the grouns and each leaf is maybe 4.5 feet long and the total diameter can be 7 to 8 feet across.

It can also get this large clinging to a tree.  

give it a lot of leaf litter in the crown.
