So, I have a very similar looking palm that was purchased as a seedling of S. schizoplylla (spelling?), but it never developed spines. It has a flat leaf like yours, with lax leaflets. I am making the assumption that it’s a hybrid, probably mixed up with a queen. It’s a great looking palm though. All my other Syagrus have irregular leaflets.

Hi Bret.
Thanks for your input. This is the mother plant of seedlings that I am receiving this Friday. I’ll post pictures of them. The seller has them a Syagrus vagans. Palmpedia shows sun grown plants. Could it be vagans in shade?

Marius,

Although I’ve heard of S. vagans, I’ve never had one. In looking at the Palmpedia site, they also have a flat leaf, although the leaflets look stiffer. But it certainly could be..Nice looking palm regardless
