Hey, should it be fine to trim some palms right now considering my climate? I will mainly trim my washingtonias, butia,,Roboliniis and camerops humilis (blue form).

Its has turned into a complete jungle now. so i need to give the palms a haircut.

It would be fine to cut off any dead or diseased fronds. For the health of your plant, never cut off any green fronds.

Dead fronds can go, anything green stays.

It should be ok to trim your palms now.  I wouldn't trim them beyond the 9 o'clock - 3 o'clock (horizontal) line, but from my experience you don't harm your palms if you cut off some green fronds once or twice a year.  If you have palm weevils or palm moths in your area you should trim your palms only when temperatures stay below 10 degrees celsius.

normally I would follow that rule but I need to cut away some fronds to let through more sunshine and make it easier to walk in the garden. Once the palms get taller I can stop cutting green fronds.

There are indeed exceptions, if it comes to allowing more walking space, i say chop away. Same with palms being close to the house, the fronds that can make contact with the roof gets the chop.

it should be totally fine by this time of the year unless the palm is already stressed or sick. I generally wait for leaves to turn at least yellow to cut them but if its for space efficiency purpose i would say its ok
