Another unknow 20 year old palm

Featured Replies

This has been growing quite well in my American section and 20 years ago only American palms were planted in this section.  Not sure where it came from.  Any ideas what it is.  the fruit so far are green and maybe 3/4" diameter.   I really need to get out my brush and clean up the frond close ups.

Don't think so.  I have one in the ground planted around the same time it's got at least 8 feet of trunk.  Mahalo for the guess.

I agree as well, Darold called it! Look at some of the pictures on Palmpedia, you'll see those leaves, leaf-bases, even the fruit look similar enough IMHO.

Mahalo guys.  Let me go mark the photos RIGHT NOW so I don't forget what you said.  That comes easy at my age.  The other day I was outside and needed the key to my tool room.  I went into the house and came out w/some green waste for the compost pile but not the key.  LOL  It's a bitch getting old.  LOL
