It is pretty slow growing for sure.

Mine is planted in full sun in the highest area in my yard.  The soil is fast draining dredge from the adjacent canal.

I really like this palm.  It reminds me of Macrozamia cycad (I don't know the name of the one).

The blue color is great.  Definately a nice palm.

I have a couple planted in my yard also. VERY slow, but coming along. This will be one of those palms in 10 years or so, that will have" bragging rights" written all over it.(I hope)
