Stellar palm, robust, great scale, beautiful unusual leaves, and looks more like a bushy shrub.

With a bit of cover it also is an effective screen because of it’s dense habit. There is a shovel in one of the photos for scale. 

Needs a haircut every couple of years to look it’s best.

    It is not dead, it is just senescence.

       

     

     

    That's one of my favorite small palms, I assume it is Hookeriana?  Caudata is very similar, I managed to luck into finding nice small 1g sized pots of both.

    Thanks Steve Mac. The old fronds make great mulch,a bit untidy, but it does a good job keeping weeds at bay and minimizing the spraying.
