After seeing someone mention Overfelt Gardens in a post about Butias today, went over to have a peek while enjoying a burrito.

While the butias definitely have seen better days, the Jubes were looking nice and fat. Surprised by the variation in the trunks - the one on the right looking rather mule palmy or JXB and not nearly as smooth as the dark one further in the back that I'm guessing is pure Jube.

Thoughts?

The one in the middle is a real beauty and definitely looks like a JXB hybrid with the knobby trunk and the twist to the leaves.

Scale is difficult with this photo because there’s nothing to compare it to… but that looks like a massive palm.
