Considering a purchase from them but, are they legit? The shipping seems really cheap if so.

Very legit with an owner that was very active here too. Unfortunately, there have always been reports of difficulty ordering through the site but now there is also a general unresponsiveness. The suspicion is that the business took a very hard hit since the freeze last February. Not sure they'll be back on their feet. It used to be one of the best places to order from for us cold-hardy palm-nerds! I'd advice to contact them via email and see if you get a response.

I bought a couple Trachycarpus Nova's from them in November off their ebay store.

They shipped fast, free, and are great plants.

eBay reviews for the past month seem a bit mixed. Hoped they're doing ok.

Yea, you don't want to order from them right now.

I've got hundreds of dollars in orders pending at the moment which have been pending for months now.

I'll be sure to update when I hear from them but I'd find another source in the mean time.

I've called, texted, emailed, you name it and no response.  That's quite abnormal for those guys so I'm assuming they were hit very hard.  They are about 5 miles from me and hit -3 in the big freeze.

It could all be explained too if he posted on this thread but I am guessing we won't see that either.

Someone told me he posted to palmtalk right after the freeze and things were bad. I took their word for it since yea... it's pretty obvious everything was destroyed in the freeze.

The website has never worked. I asked him about it one time, and he said his tech guy was still working on it. That was a long time ago. I was always suspicious of it since the inventory seemed too good to be true and didn't match the list sent out with the Ebay purchases.

In the past he made trips down to Houston frequently, and he texted me after the freeze to see if I was interested in a couple things.

I hope he's alright. I know on here he's getting a bad rap, but he always seemed decent enough in person. I don't think he's an actual scammer like JubaeaMan183.

I also bet a lot of inventory died. I think they didn't heat their greenhouses.

I’ve always had good interactions with him. Very helpful and responsive. Clearly something very negative has occurred, whether it’s the ice storm destroying his business, or perhaps a personal matter.

I never used his website. Always dealt directly with him.

He has always been a great seller but as far as a bad rap goes

it is important for people to know that you may not get your plants

and he is not communicating with people or returning their money...

I would be pretty angry if I spent hundreds expecting plants in a week

or so and never heard anything back and NO refund.

I have gotten palms from him before, but same problem as everyone else. I hope he is OK, but if he can not sell his plants he really should take himself off ebay until everything is straighten out.

@TexasColdHardyPalms tagging you hoping you'll see this and can clarify.  I've always had good interactions so I hope all is well.
