Always a treat to my eyes.  Just wanted to share my largest specimen. This one came from the late George Sparkman several years ago

Just got a dozen fresh seeds about a month ago, hoping to grow a few of these up. Beautiful palms, although I doubt they would be hardy in the ground in my climate.  How old is yours?

Zone 8b, Csb (Warm-summer Mediterranean climate). 1,940 annual sunshine hours
Annual lows-> 19/20: -5.0C, 20/21: -5.5C, 21/22: -8.3C, 22/23: -9.4C, 23/24: 1.1C (so far!)

Very nice!

How long to sprout the seeds?

Great "little" palm.  Planted two back in 2005.  They are doing great here in my almost desert.  So are the weeds.  LOL  Pictured are 2008 and last November.

I've had this palm for perhaps 5 years,  and it was fully pinnate when i bought it.

I’ve found Jubaeopsis seed can take 3 months to 3 years to germinate. I germinate them in almost pure perlite with a spaghnum moss covering them inside a clear plastic box to create a greenhouse effect. They need absolutely perfect drainage in the early days or they damp off easily. Keep the soil growing medium on the dry side but the air moist and they’re happy in my experience.

Millbrook, "Kinjarling" Noongar word meaning "Place of Rain", Rainbow Coast, Western Australia 35S. Warm temperate. Csb Koeppen Climate classification. Cool nights all year round.

I didn't! Haha well, i did plant them, but my seed pot was raided by squirrels and they planted them throughout their domain. 2 jubaeopsis showed up in my garden about 6 months later... along with a few syagrus kellyana and dozens of jubaeas.

Took this yesterday.  Hard to balance a cell phone on a stump for a timed photo.  LOL
