My Rhopalostylis baueri have tried flowering a few times in the past but the flowers have basically fallen off instead of opening, until now. So I took a few pics.

This was the first inflorescence that held and it appears I have a few seeds that may have pollinated and held. Hopefully the second one has set more seed.

Very nice palms. Were they at all damaged by that nasty frost you had last winter? Be interested to know how fast they grow there.

Thanks.

They didn’t get any damage from that cold event. Maybe slightly yellowed on the most exposed parts but they just sailed through it. They were frozen.

They are a quick palm here. Probably my fastest palm would be Archontophoenix cunninghamiana though, with Parajubaea torralyi var torralyi about the same.
