Show us your palmy office. I cleared out lots of space from the hoarder that worked here prior to me, and I need to bring one of my Kentias and something else to at least cover the desk and file cabinet, plus I've got floor space for another potted low-light tolerant plant. For now, I've got a clump of P. Robelleini (which need split up), 2 clumps of d. Lutescens (which need repotting), a mandarin spider plant, a generic snake plant, an unidentified succulents(gift from an employee), and a money tree (that somehow has one giant mutant leaf that seems really out of place).

Also looking for ideas on what to add to my own office (or to replace anything I bring from home) - huge south facing window, and a file cabinet and mini fridge that now need some green and pinnate decorations.

Looks great John!

I work from home but I have a few palms around my desk where I work.  Left side of the monitor there is a small cyrtosthachys renda at desk level and a larger dypsis lutescens behind it.  To the right of the monitor I have a chamaedorea cataractarum as well as a trio of trunking chamaedorea elegans :)

Bruh @PsyPalm I know I've said this before, but every time I see pics of your lighting, I think of a Jimi Hendrix or Cypress Hill concert. And I'm still in awe of your Kentia, even though it didn't come up in this convo.

I just bought another 1g cluster of 4 Kentias myself.

@JohnAndSancho my man, I take that as a compliment! I'm going for a vibe somewhere between the psychedelic neon forest from Avatar and Poison Ivy's lab in Batman & Robin :D

Here's some Kentia tax, I recently rotated him to try and even out his growth.

Def a compliment! Does he seem to dig the bottom lighting, or is it purely decorative? You've got a whole vibe in there and I love it.

Also I need to send you a PM asking about your pots, because *chef's kiss* they're on point.

The bottom lighting is intended as purely decorative, it's a pretty bright light though so some of the lower clumped fronds probably get a little photosynthesis from it, who's to say.  He's been in this corner that gets no natural light for about 14 months and seems to be happy as a clam :D

Cheers man!

He's a unit. I forgot what his name is. But i hope my new Kentia clump gets there one day.

This is the last remaining tree of Eddie, I named him because he showed up the day Eddie Van Halen died. One had a horrible mealybug issue, one died when he went into my office, one went to a co-worker and her little sisters friend cut him down with a pair of scissors due to bad parenting. The last of the Eddies just put out a new leaf.

I'm torn between bringing Eddie or the new Kentia to my office. Eddie has been in the same exact spot for a few months now.

@JohnAndSancho that 1g cluster looks great!  I want to pick up another one that size..  Eddie's looking great too, I love the look of a solitary kentia.

Be patient! The same office looked five years ago like this:

Oh I am, but they're growing pretty well, thanks to your soil recipe and extensive care instructions :D

My complete office collection, enjoying some much needed rays while my home collection watches from the window with jealousy.  I took them all back to my office atrium today.

Save for my Syagrus Romanzoffiana.  She’s my favourite and gets to stay home with Dad.
