Queen palm fungus

Hello all! I am trying to help someone out with their queen palm. They are in arizona and they said that the palm has not pushed new growth since last may and that the fronds have yellow white goo. She seems to think it's fungus, and that is linked to a maganese deficiency.  Am I correct to say that the maganese injections or supplements will not fix her problem and that it is slowly dieing? She also said she cut down a few other queen palma and they had pink fungus in the trunk. Sorry, I don't have any photos but maybe could get some if needed.
