Three different individuals of Sabal uresana. Two are the bluer, slower growing form, possibly from higher elevations; the smaller one due to slower growth from less  total sun hours overall.  The one next to fence is a little more green but is definitely a faster growing form, possibly from lower elevations.

Freaking awesome yard.. !!

Is that your a/c drain behind the first uresana pic?  I'm curious how much water that generates...

Beautiful palms & cycads! I have a Uresana about the size of yours, how many leaves does the highland forms put out for you a year?

Hesperia,Southern CA (High Desert area). Zone 8b

Elevation; about 3600 ft.

Lowest temp. I can expect each year 19/20*f lowest since I've been growing palms *13(2007) Hottest temp. Each year *106

AC pipe drip is approximately one drop every 3 seconds. That is why I stuck the Sabal uresana there :)

Highland form in sun put of 4 leaves this year so far, likely one or two more due to extreme heat, which it seemed to love. Last year it put out 4 leaves total but last summer was very rainy with much less heat overall

Thats a good spot for it 😁

5-6 leaves ain't bad at all. I should have 4 soon & I think that'll be it for mine this year.

Great to see this update, I had forgotten all about these uresana!  Has really gained some height in the last few years.  How are the other ones doing? Brahea decumbens is stunning as well. Hoping we have a nice mild winter.

@MASOALA JASON how did the golden barrels do in the 2021 event? I’ve lost those here in west Texas from cold already and will keep in a pot in the future.
