Good idea Kim, I could certainly flood this thread, my phone is packed with too many rainbow photos.  Yesterday afternoon.

A faint double rainbow. I took the photos in august while praying for rain. I watched the storm form and change direction, missing me completely.

..After downpour round #2. Same storm that aided today's 'Bow barely missed being downpour round #3 for the day..

Not perfect, but might be the best, near complete rainbow i have seen here in quite sometime..  Only one to stand out this summer, even w/ all the rain we'd had.  Left, northeast side of it lingered for quite awhile as this particular storm rolled off toward the N.E.

Best view of the N.E side of today's 'Bow. Might not be obvious, but big " slash " in the Palo Verde ( about center in Pic. #1, a little right of center in Pic. #2 ) is from the bigger storm that roared through earlier. Pretty big chunk of the canopy in that spot is now on the ground.

Very little / ill-timed rain ( what little we've had this summer ) = no good rainbows this summer, from my vantage point at least.. In this case however,  the " pot of gold " on this " Low Bow " was somewhere near my sidewalk..  You'll see what i mean..

Marginal- strength, hybrid low precip supercell X terrain induced pulse storm, at at an unusual time of day / sun angle = ..a Low Bow.. AKA: a Rainbow that is barely above the buildings across the street.

In this case, sun angle provided a rare opportunity to observe a rainbow " touching down " in the street.. Look closely at the *** shot(s)

Overall rainbow, with a faint secondary above the already quite low primary.

Yes, it is in front of the large Eucalyptus behind the building..

IMG_7624.thumb.JPG.071c58515d655ec5d92d3c8a6de0ac77.JPG

*** It's faint, but,  Looking closely at these shots, no, that isn't a camera trick or too much light on the lens creating lens-related effects /reflection off the window in view across the street ..the colors you see in a few spots ( just above the hood of the passing car / electrical Box in front of the Car,  dark shaded of the window across the street < Between the Palm trunk / Fire Hydrant, and Palo Verde on the Left > ) is part of this rainbow event.  Don't recall ever seeing a naturally-created rainbow ( aka, a storm creating it, rather than it being created by running a hose / sprinklers ) that i could see this low to the ground.

In the shot w/ the car in it,  on my side of the street,  part of the rainbow was visible, albeit extremely faintly, esp. in the shot,  between the back tire of the car, and the yellow flowered Senna on the corner of the driveway on the right..  Was getting heavy mist, Heavy rain, and some hail while this was occurring.
