All my palms are loving it, the monsoon is here in force.  Humidity has been above 50% every morning for a week and we even got a little rain(0.6 inch), the first accumulation near my house since march.  this years dry/hot season was a long one.  Without supplemental watering(other than drip system), I would have alot of cooked fronds now.  I have 2 butias showing 4-5 burned lower fronds(they see late day sun).  Our temps have dropped 10 degrees to 97-100 range for the daytime high, perfect palm growing weather.  As a verification, my bizzies started to open up new

spears -that were just sitting there for the past month- almost simultaneously.  The braheas are positively glowing with newly opened palms as well.  This is the best time of year for my palms, prime growing season, and the humidity makes it feel a little like florida(no suprise).  Heat plus humidity is a great thing for palms, I can take it to see them so happy.

Your happiness is coming through loud and clear... and thanks for sharing that monsoon with us west of you. 80F and high (for us) humidity. All my palms are pushing growth seriously right now. ...Except the kentias for some reason :(

Ditto to what Terry wrote  :)

Dew points temps have been pushing 70 with above 60 widespread over SoCal.  Makes 90F feel a bit uncomfortable but plants need slightlty less water & look quite happy  :P  Now if we could get some of that rainfall Arizona is experiencing.

0.6" rain at my house(I measured it) again yesterday.  Everything looks so happy, I didnt want to go to work.  Temps when I got home last night @5:30 were 80 degrees F, 69% RH.  This morning, it was 79 degrees F and 80% RH, the highest RH I have measured all year outside the greenhouse.  The daytime high is forecast at 95-97F, but more rain could make it 85-89 easily.  The glow has returned to my heat/dry stressed sabals.  Who says Braheas dont like humidity?  They are sure loving it here now, fantastic color, best of the year.  The bismarckia colors at sunset, with a shrouded, new opening palm, were just a stunning array of steel blues to shades of light green(new palm).  Its as close to palm heaven as it gets in AZ.  I prefer the dry, but clearly the palms have their own preferences.
