Comming back from Fresno, it started raining like crazy. There was hail, lightning, and heavy rain. I was driving on 5, and nothing I would expect. Its to bad that I packed the camera in the trunk. Nothing to serious, but it was interesting to see this in California. Some of this monsoonal moisture is making close. I have measured trace ammounts of rain 3 times this july. Extreme rarity it would seem...

Wish some of that moisture would have stayed around longer in SoCal.  Picked up a mere 0.05 a few days ago.  It is humid and warm but, as usual, nearly all the rain is restricted to the mts and desert areas   :(

It has been a wacky rainy season here, and I've missed most of it. While Orlando, inland Central FL have received our storms, my coastal area has missed so much of it. I am getting used to watering with lightning, because the storms keep missing. January was very mild, one of the warmest, and Feb was chilly as was March but no frost or freeze. Odd year, and hurricane season is fast approaching. Greg in New Port Richey

Begonias are my thing. I've been growing and selling them for three decades, nearly two in Tampa Bay. NPR is an bhour N of St Pete, coast
