Hello palm lovers,

I was wondering if any of you have a map of either the natural distribution of palms around the world or the parts of the world where palms are commonly grown. That would be much appreciated. Thank you so much!

palm tree distribution map - Google Search

I had previously looked on Google but they didn't seem to have any good maps. There were only a few that actually showed the distribution of palms worldwide and none of them were completely accurate, so I was wondering if anyone had a map, perhaps from a book on palms, that showed their worldwide distribution. Thanks!

Usually if someone had posted something  on a subject here on the forum it will also show up in google searches.  When searching palm related stuff, or even weather, i see palmtalk in the results often.  I think if anyone had one it probably would have made it here by now.   That said, it would be interesting to see two accurate maps. One of native/ natrual ranges of palms compared to range of planted long term surviving palms (think 5-10 years), without protection.   Then maybe another map showing similar long term growth with protection.

I agree 100%. Thanks!
