Always great seeing your videos!!!  In your first video at 2:27 there's a silver-backed palm on the lower left side.  I saw one of those at Leu Gardens last week and I forgot to check the name.  What is that one, with the mostly solid leaves?

It's actually just the light that's making it look silver, it's an Areca vestiaria

I think that I have seen that place before, yeah, I think it was in the Indiana Jones and the Crystal skull movie, or one of the Tarzan ones. :D

Outstanding jungle atmosphere you have created there. Here’s a question, can you remember the very first palm you planted on this property and is it still alive?

You know, that's a really good question!  That got me wondering about my own yard, so I dug through my old photos and found the first palm.  It was a plain old 3 gallon Pygmy Date planted on 3/18/18.  It was a triple but with only about 4" of "trunk" and it's still alive!  I moved it at least twice, so it's still only about 3 feet tall overall.  :D

How much land do you have?

2.5 acres, the front is more um, normal and formal.

I had 2 royals in front of my previous house and sprouted far to many seedlings so since I built here it's royals and yes they are doing very well, to well. I bought the property way before I built and it had no irrigation so I planted a wahy knowing it would survive in the sandy no water soil and it did. I'll post a picture of it.

First palm planted is the washy in the back behind the royals, about 24 or so years old and some of the first royals, about 18 years old

If I may call you dude......dude, that may not be quite a jungle front yard but it’s definitely a very gorgeous tropical resort front yard. You’ve done very well.

I have planted and maintain everything myself, some occasional help when I need extra. Everything was grown from seed or 1 gal pots. Been a long term project to say the least.
