Very beautiful place and i love the coverage,indeed i like this kind of visual tour than general discussions.which usually has not stills in them.

the beach looks neat and the bull is adoreable.and i realised

that the place is filled with more of retired people(all 55 to 65

plus of age group)not much of youngsters why so ?

any info no that.

that high-way are great and your stills are clear.and the mail box home is indeed worth to be used as postcards.

and dave what is the temperature there while you were shooting ! since all were clad fully and almost formal in attire.

is it a clod place ?since beach areas is where we find swim ware or bikinis fashioned clothing !

thanks for the stills & wish to see more of your travelogs

Ah, the memories of being driven as a kid through Laguna before the freeway between LA and San Diego. One of the highlights of the trip was hanging out the window to wave at the Greeter.

It was a very small quaint little beach town then. But so was most everything on the SoCal coast in the 50s and early 60s.

Some good shots of a very scenic part of Orange Co, Dave  :D  But I must take exception to identifying Laguna Beach as the "California Riviera."  The Santa Barbara coastline from Gaviota east to Carpinteria is considered the "Riviera of California." Yes/No  ???

You were in my neck of the woods, Dave.

On the way out of the canyon, just past the dog park. is Laguna Koi Ponds. The owner has a pretty impressive Bromeliad collection in a greenhouse in the back.

Did you notice the devestation from the freeze in the canyon. It has come back quite a bit but there a re quite a few fried ficus and GBOP's in there. Major cold air drainage.

There are quite a few nice gardens in Laguna. If you head up towards Top of the World (awsome view from up there) there are some really cool pads and even a few homeownres who like palms.

Main beach is locked down pretty tight but it is packed on the weekends. There are quite a few really cool beaches in Laguna, though. Heading south from main beach all the way to Strands in Dana Point is a series of rocky coves. SOme you can only get to by water or by homeowner access. We used to padlle through them when there was no surf when I was a kid. Good snorkeling and cliff jumping. Laguna and San Clemente are the coolest beach towns in in OC, IMO.

Agree with Jenks about south coast/Orange Co.  Enjoyed many a swim off the beaches of Laguna & San Clemente.  Water was clear and fairly clean compared to Santa Monica bay  :(

One of the first things I remember when I came to California in 1985 was a trip up to Top of the World.

Enchanting!  Mountains in the distance to the east, the sea aflame in the setting sun to the west, and those lovely houses with the shake roofs, many with bitchen palm gardens.  

All destroyed by fire in 1993.
