Added a dypsis of some sort to the collection. Pretty sure its not a decipiens (as labelled) since i've got a couple already, both smaller and larger, neither trunking. Yet this little guy has split and trunked, in a 5 gallon pot.

Any suggestions as to what I may have purchased? It has no heel that i could find.

While I don't have any suggestions right now, I do have a question which might help others.  First are the leaflets thick and rigid like your D decipiens or significantly less so?  It looks attractive, but I'm sure it would be helpful to have an id so you have a better idea on it's growth habits.  Knowing if it might split or push up additional pups and how large the trunks will make it easier to decide how close to plant to other plants.

Hi Tracy,

The leaves are actually rather rigid and thick even though they are rather droopy looking. The overall dimensions of the palm just don't match up with the decipiens in my yard. i have one that was planted from a 15 gallon that is 3-4 inch thick at the base that isn't nearly as tall as this thing.

But after seeing pics of the bases of some split Dypsis Onilahensis, 99% sure that's what i've got here (thanks Ben and Matt). Let's see if it can get through the winter. Hate planting things this late in the season.
