Thanks! It's just kitchen compost with perlite added. I started putting rocks on top to keep the squirrels from digging them up and the growth really skyrocketed. They store the heat from the day and release it slowly at night. Now if I could just figure out a way to keep the weeds down. Really hard to weed with the rocks in there.

These Canary Island palms were started by me a number of years ago. Unfortunately, I lost some when I was moving to a new location. I have only every really experimented with P. canariensis and Washingtonia, both are easy from seed.

That's very interesting and smart thing to mulch the seedlings with stones that accumulate/release heat, I have seedlings so I think I should do the same, too

How old do you guess they are? They look awesome!
