Since I am working 400 miles away from my houseplants I am paying to keep them a commercial greenhouse for the winter.

Relatives have done their best caring for the palms but each time I return home the palms are sitting in saucers full of water and losing more fronds.

Some pics below of the howeas wrapped and ready to go; and they look so *covid-19* compliant wrapped in their protective gear.  I packed newspapers over the soil so that rootball does not shift in transit.   Hopefully the stress of packing and moving them is not greater than leaving them with family; I feel they would suffer a slow death if they remain here. 


Last photo below: I like the contrast below of these exotic subtropical potted palms juxtaposed against my temperate climate landscape.  In the background is a European purple weeping beech cultivar and English ivy.
