I Know in the West they are not considered a edible banana, but on Wikipedia it states that it is a delicasy in Japan. Anyone here tried to eat them or made a dish out of their crop?

The raw fruit is bland and insipid, not worth the trouble to peel.  :)   (don't know about recipes)

When they sucker in my yard sometimes I'll pull up the sucker and eat the heart of the base of the sucker . It's crispy and juicy with a little hint of banana taste . Really bland but could add some nice texture to some dishes .
