On 1st and 2nd photos, that's a kind of mealybug with carapace, usual visit on Howea forsteriana and other palm spp. You wipe them smoothly with your fingers or a using a rag. Or just apply a systemic insecticide. Some people use homemade dish soap spray, but that's not my way. I just wipe them up and that's it! No chemicals...

3rd photo looks like spidermites issues...apply a good systemic insecticide.

I did spray it down with a mixture of 2dl etanol and 2 dl water with soap in it. let it sit for a couple of minutes and vent over each leaf, stems and trunk with my hand gently. then hosed it down real good. there is a lot less scale but it looks like i will need a brush to get of every little bit. This job is so damn ocd inducing haha. If not treated how long will the plant nomally live with these infections? is it really likely that i get rid of the scale or will it be a continual thing i need to maintain. Thought i would not have to deal with these things since it is outdoors.

yes defintly its impossible to get 100% every little spot. Gave it another was today with just water and soap and went over each leaf one by one with a cloth. Do you really think i have spider mites also ? if so the alcohol+soap+water treatment should be sufficent as long as i dont see anything bad?

As you can see its clearly improved i try to use a brush tomorrow to see if i can get of the last stuff.

Lookin good! Well...on the 3rd photo it looks like spidermites, but it also could be some kind of mold. Hard to tell just looking by to the photo...It's solved for now, right? So you don't need to use anything else. Just keep cleaning it once in a while. May use a soft brush.

That's the way to go. Bugs and other plagues are opportunists, if conditions are ideal...here they come. Regular cleaning or a simple gentle wipe once in a while will keep them away.
