As you know, Chamaerops are natives here in the Algarve. They grow spontaneous almost everywhere and assume numerous forms in order to adapt to each specific spot available growth conditions. Here are some autonomous Chamaerops of spontaneous growth by the side of the road that I usually use to get to work. Notice how dense they are and the type of terrain, the colors ... or even how they grow on a wall beside the road, where they grow. There are many other specimens a little further away from the road, others that thrive on completely rocky soil, and some some close to the sea, with a very considerable size, that I will gradually post / share here.

    Took some Chamaerops photos on the back street flower bed. Notice how stiff and compact leaves are, and just take a look on the silvery back. These Chamaerops are on the sea side, around 200 mts. You can assess notable diferences from those I posted yesterday, which are 6 miles inland.
