In ten months my double foxtail really fattened up. It's no wonder that they have become so popular. I germinated this double from a double embryo seed about 5 years ago. Tim

It's too bad the trunks are not spaced further apart. Or you could hang your hammock there. :(

Very kool. Its amazing how big they have gotten in 5 years. Like the plumeria underneath too. Very tropical. All you need now is the hammock Jeff suggested and two hawaian girls to fan you and your set!

Keep growin,

Mike

Nice foxtail double. I have one that's fat and one that thin. The fat one is growing a lot faster. I think the thin one is working on getting fat. I feed it twinkies.

Tim,

Great looking double! Those trunks look nice and thick, overall the setting is great. Nothing compliments an exotic looking palm like plumeria, or pinneaple for that matter!

Out of curiosity, do you have earlier photo's you can post that show what they were like over time? I have three foxtails that look younger than yours and I'd like to see the before and after shots if you're open to it.

Foxtails are a very frustrating palm for me and a number of palm growers in SoCal. Fuss-city. Some guys get lucky or have the perfect environment. I planted 6 of them, and pulled the spear on the last one yesterday. Done. Next time I'm tempted to buy one I'll get a small royal instead.
