That is an impressive specimen.  Lucky you!  I am sure there are others that will chime in on interior care.  The past 4 months I have had to keep my Joey palm indoors, sunny south facing window with forced air (heat or cooling) at constant 73 degrees F; conditions that I would have thought were too dry for the palm.  The Joey has seemed fine all along.  Read people’s comments on the preferred soil mix and avoid over-watering or too large a container.  Keep us posted on that amazing acquisition.

Photo of the Joey in its sunny window location. Outdoors I place it in a shaded location in summertime.

Hi Thomas, welcome to the forum.

That is a magnificent specimen.  I don't have one so I can't help, but Plover did a good job with his.

Cheers Steve

It is not dead, it is just senescence.

This is beautiful one. I can see you have l.orbicularis. can i see full photo?

How do you grow them?

Thank you Thomas.  Actually, next to the Joey palm is Licuala peltata var Sumawongii.  Or it better be ...since they sent me the wrong licuala on my first order.  Photo is below.  The L. Orbicularis you mentioned is very beautiful, I think I need one of those next!  The indoor culture is likely very similar to the other licualas and Joey palm—bright light, excellent drainage, don’t over water.D1244229-8F65-4F2C-81F1-3DC133124E5C.thumb.jpeg.7f8019a206e63bac4008ff902ac8dac9.jpeg
