So I was curious who is growing this strain of C.humilis? I was wondering if people could post some pictures.  I am curious from online pictures it appears more cerifera like than the green form but its not super obvious, can anyone confirm if this is the case or is it just the angle/perspective of the pictures? Does it grow like a regular C. humilis or is its growth rate different? thanks in advance.

I don't have this mutant Chamaerops but really want one. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder - some people like, others hate it.

Here is a photo of Dick's original plant, growing adjacent to his swimming pool in Walnut Creek, CA.    The plant is self fertile and the seed comes true to the parent.  It is also not appealing to me.  When I first met Dick he offered me one of the seed plants.  I was in a tricky spot to decline diplomatically!   :winkie:

If this plant appeals to you I would suggest that you contact Patrick Shafer, he might still have a few.

Yes, Patric has offered this one to me several times.  You couldn't gift me enough land to find a spot for this one.

So Is it more C humilis cerifera or is that just the pics, it looks more silverish than green.  I noticed Patric had them for sale.

Do you have a link to his website where he sells these Chamaerops?

That is extremely ugly.

Dick gave me one several years ago and it’s about the slowest growing palm in my landscape. I like the uniqueness of Dick’s multant. It’s not gorgeous by any means but still fun to look at. Rats have chewed on mine a few times.

I have one of these. Mine doesn't get enough sun to be very silver. It's not ugly to me. I like it.

Dick gave me one years ago....It has grown little of the years but it is special to me because of the source! I will probably have to get ride of it as I am planning to move out of state.
