Hi!
Is palm plant food the same thing as fertilizer? I was recommended to use shake and feed palm plant food with magnesium and Iron and manganese. If I add this do I still use liquid fertilizer in July?

thanks in advance

Fertilizer is plant food. If the fertilizer is designed specifically for palms, it will be in the recommended ratio and will contain micronutrients like Mg, Mn and Fe. If you use granular time release fertilizer in the proper quantity, you will not need to add the liquid fertilizer. Nor should you because you can actually over fertilize. Pick one or the other. Better to use slightly less rather than slightly more. And being in NY, your growing season is limited anyway.

Will do! Thank you

@Noob2palms nice to meet you!

I concur with @Johnny Palmseed and add that it’s best to be sparing when feeding indoor palms, based on your stated location in New York.
