I hope this isn't a duplication, but I haven't seen a July thread yet.....

Here's my weather:  rain almost every day.  9" over "average", 6" over last year, 33.93" YTD as of yesterday.  Highs up to 10F below normal, lows a degree or two above normal, both probably attributable to the cloudcover and precipitation.  My yard is a jungle, lot's of trimming this year.  I'm also starting to worry about fungal problems with all the rain, especially concerning my StAugustinegrass.

One suggested feature for Americans is that if you add your zip code to your weather report, we can go straight to your forecast on WeatherUnderground and/or other weather sites.  I'm at 77098.

Thanks for beginning the July threat.  Guess its the doldrums of summer that lowers interest.

Wish I could say it has been wet but the opposite is true in California.  Every day is pretty much like the day before: sunny w/ occasional morning clouds.  85-95F/29-35c w/ nights in the 60's.

May experience some convective activity this week w/ possible rainfall  :P  But chances are less than 50%  :(

Still not raining here like it should. This flow from the west has cut off my chances for rain. Hate to say it, but I would not mind a little tropical depression or a very, very weak tropical storm to catch up on rain. If it was not for the tropical storm earlier this year, then I would be very, very in trouble right now.

Hi,

Summer is still on vacantion ... daytempetures around the 20C/68F and night tempetures around the 13C/55.4F and a lot of rains ...

But in the end of this weeks it's gonna looks like the big heat with tempetures around the 35-40C/95-104F just gonna mis us, the country germany next to us can get tempeture's like that ... we will gonna get tempeture's around the 30C/86F ... i hope that weather will stay for a couple of months ... and hopefully the heatwaven want's to go a little more west then we have got the same heat as germany ...

But the end of this week is a long way to goo, so i hope this weather forecast will be the same in the end of this week :)

What's interesting is that Europe experienced a very mild winter/spring.  It was cold in much of N. America.  It has been hot across much of the interior West but not particularly above normal for the nation [though New York will be a bit toasty for a few days.

It rained here at the beginning of July (very odd!) and it has been only up to 20-25ºc the rest of the time do to frosty winds from the north. That is here on the coast. When it is windy at the beach we go to the mountains and have a swim in the many rivers there because the valleys are hot and protected from the north winds. It is nice to have a choice: deserted beaches or deserted rivers.

Very, very dry all summer so far.  No fungal problems to worry about here.

It had been pretty dry since the start of the dry season in June.  But, yesterday it was cloudy and looked like it would rain when the day began.  It really rained hard a few hours later and stayed relatively cool all day.  I did not look at the temperature but it must have gotten only to around 85 F.  That is quite cool for this time of year.  It is snowing in the higher elevations of southern Brazil.  Not that this could happen here, but we could get the tail end of the cold front as it dies out moving north.

We're still very dry here.  We've gotten some rain yesterday and today though.  Our watering restrictions now only allow us to water on Sunday between Midnight and 10 am.  Palms and other plants are growing slowly this year.

Along the Coast here in  Tampa Bay, it has dried out severely. I am one hour N of St Pete, 34653 zip. It rained quite a bit prior to July 4th with 6.15 " total in the week before. Not a drop since. Each day over 90F with few clouds, and because the Gulf is 87F now, mornings have been at 80F, dewpoints 75-80F and a seabreeze at 10-15mph. Since Hurricane Jeanne took my big trees, my yard is a furnace despite planting 7 Queens that are over 20' now, and the 4 I already had are over 30'. It will be some time before my canopy is back :-((...Greg in New Port Richey PRAYING for any rain, even clouds would be nice! I am seeling at the USF Plant Sale this weekend, and hope it is NOT too hot and NOT too stormy!

Begonias are my thing. I've been growing and selling them for three decades, nearly two in Tampa Bay. NPR is an bhour N of St Pete, coast
