I just bought myself a very reduced Kentia Palm with one stem with fronds and one separate stem with no fronds both attached at the bottom (looks to be a new one) and 4 stem stumps and what looks like one seed with roots.

unfortunately whilst I was transporting the plant home the baby stem and stem with fronds snapped off and I was just wondering whether the plant might still be able to grow and recover without any stems?

Thank you

☺️

Can't hurt to try, does it have any roots?

Hi Rosie welcome to the forum.

If it dies, I think that the leaf loss will not be solely responsible but it's life treatment up till now. It sounds to have had a hard life.

Also, (not mandatory) but it will help people, especially locals to give you the best advice, if you have your location in your details,

Cheers Steve

It is not dead, it is just senescence.
