Guess That Genus

There are 8 genera of palms represented in this photo. How many can you get? One will be near impossible because it's an odd hybrid.

Good guesses folks. Here's what's out there:

Amazing collection. Palmpedia says the B. matogrossensis is 9b so I am glad to see you're growing these. Similarly, I would not have expected Allagoptera arenaria in 8a. Never even heard of the Polyandrococos hybrid. Dang! 

Do you protect them a lot?

I have a multi (3) one of these that saw 20° plus freezing rain unprotected for 36hrs in 2018 It showed no damage what so ever , very leaf hardy. I'm very happy with this palm =)

The Allagoptera seem to come back from most anything. They'll get full burn under 20F. The Polyandrococos hybrid looks like a dwarf Butia right now. Not much unique character yet. My favorite dwarf is the S. campylospatha. Check out my Kashmir Mazari. Its awesome. 8 feet tall. And a stretchy S. 'Riverside'.

I highly recommend all the dwarf South America cocoids for the 8A folks. They're pretty easy to protect with a moving blanket.

It's strange that the Riverside is so stretched. It gets full sun for a good chunk of the day.

It suffered from scale when it was young, but has gotten healthier and healthier as it gotten bigger.

Wow, that Nannorrhops is awesome! How old is it? Your stretch out Riverside looks sweet! It kinda resembles a Mexicana to me. Riverside's are pretty hefty but I've never seen one that size. Still could put alot of mass on

That's the pic that prompted me to get one. Been in the ground not quite a year I'll try to get pics of it after work. Of course like most hybrids size can be variable haha

I didn't see a tag anywhere on this one but I think it's a Sabal Riverside, near the San Diego zoo entrance. Its pretty beefy in person.

I want to say its about 10 years old.  It took some abuse at 8 F, but it never skipped a beat.
