Hydrogen peroxide + liquid palm fertilizer good or bad idea?

Someone mentioned that Hydrogen Peroxide make palms absorb nutrients easier, so how about mixing it with fertilizer and give it a good soaking perhaps with a lower dose of fertilizer than normal. anyone have experience with this?

I can't think that using H2O2 regularly in the soil is a good idea. The peroxide will kill all the good microbes as well. It's not specific on what it will go after and good bacteria/mitochondria in the soil will be attacked at the cellular level. I always think of the soil that my plants are in as a living organism that has a symbiotic relationship with the plants that grow in it. That relationship is key to a strong healthy plant that we as gardeners strive to maintain.

When applied to the soil ( potting soil in containers, or in the ground ) you'd apply a diluted solution ..say 1 part H.P. to 10 parts water rather than applying H.P. full strength.  While i also have heard applying it may help plants absorb certain nutrients, Hydrogen Peroxide's main benefit is adding Oxygen to the soil, particularly if the soil stays too wet..

Roots start to deteriorate / die back when the supply of Oxygen is used up in Anaerobic soil conditions ( waterlogged soil ) H. P. helps fight those conditions when applied thus promoting healthy root development / growth which in turn can absorb nutrients better. It also helps to retard the growth of certain harmful bacteria that cause root rot through the same chemical reaction as it breaks down.

Would apply it by itself, not with anything else.
