I went to the riverside and historic districts in Punta Gorda and saw some interesting stuff .    Quite a few tall old royal palms around especially in the historic district .   Many juvenile and adult volunteers all over town too .

Saw 2 taller coconuts in the Riverside park . I would guess these are pre 89'ers

In a neighborhood among all the common palms, I saw this large green variety bismarckia palm.

Surprisingly I saw quite a few copernicia alba around town .  these ones were at a business planted as parking lot trees .  there were 2 others but I did not feel the need to shoot them all .

Another bigger one in a yard .

I also saw a good amount of smaller ones around town in both commercial and residential plantings and noticed some around this size at a garden/tree center .   Are these being grown in farms now in florida?

few nice Phoenix Hybrids too .  I would much rather have one of these than a normal CIDP to be honest .

Also some healthy older CIDP around the Historic district too .

Also a blown over queen palm in an abandoned parking lot .

I really like that waterfront park in Punta Gorda.

There’s a YouTube video about those coconuts. I believe he said they were planted in the 70s.
