Anthocleista grandiflora - SOLD

Recommended Posts

I have 4 Anthocleista grandiflora in 7 gallons that I am going to sell. This is a Holy Grail tree and super rare. $400 and local pick up only.

A friend in South Africa I trade seed with sent me a bunch of pods 3 years ago. I had 1000s of seed. Of that maybe 100 germinated. From those I ended up with 12 plants. They rot easy when seed coat is cracking and they hated the move to individual pots. I have sold most to people that heard I had a few. I only have 4 left.

That’s an awesome plant! Pretty cool that you make some of these rare plants available to the rest of us. I need a bigger yard.

Not huge but growing well. It went through some shock after being dug. I had it in really free draining soil in my greenhouse for a while and then planted it out fall of last year. Seems to be happy now. Went through our last long cold winter fine. The spot I planted it in gets a lot of heat so Im expecting good things from it. Ill post a photo this evening.  Thank you again for it!!!

I wanted this Palm so bad.  And I got one from Josh.  I put it in the Sunniest Spot, and it just crapped out.  I’d love to try again if I ever got my hands on another some day.   I have a lot of Livi’s,  Victoriae, Alfredii, Hardyii only ones I’m missing.   Looks like it is Doing Great ! Such a cool color!

Wow, nice color on that Steve. Im glad you dug it as it would have been dead here with no heat.
