Looking good,  BTW no pinnate palm in the PNW would survive 8F.

I was thinking the same thing very thin for what you would expect out of this hybrid. 8F survival is a major plus tho

Pretty sure that was originally a double, perhaps that's why?

Genetics. These suckers are variable. Attributes start becoming more predictable in the F2s, but F1s are a guess'um. As a mix of Jubaea, Butia and Syagrus; I wouldn't be willing to bet on much before hand.

Yeah I 100% agree with that, the 1 thing all those palms used in your palms crossings was a thick trunk even most queen palms seem to be thicker then yours. Biggest take away from your palm, is the 8F it took and survived so all in all one of a kind cold hardy pinnate palm =)

I didn't even protect it.  I ran out of moving blankets to cover and wrap things.  I look forward to this thing flowering.
