Liquid kelp's composition/ratio of NPK is so minimal that improvements on palms after application are not very apparent.

Many growers of excellent palms use this product, and they have convinced me.  Tassie Troy from Hobart area, Tasmania has a superb garden beyond his zone expectations.  He uses this regularly but as a soil drench.  If you apply it to the foliage it would be best applied in the mornings so that the foliage can dry off.

As Gonzer stated this product is not a good source for the macronutrients of NPK.

I used this product on all of my plants while in PA (mostly small trees destined for bonsai purposes) and they responded very well but it seemed to attract pests and fungal issues, granted I used a very liberal amount (probably too much).

Hello Troy, how much / what ratio do you put the Seasol on around the roots each month?

I’ve found that seaweed extract has the ability to promote root growth. It does have growth stimulants in it. Mix it with fish emulsion and it will add a bit of gentle NPK as well. It’s best applied to the soil, but foliage is ok too but I reckon most results come from it spilling onto the soil.
