A bit of an oddity, this chap is holding strap leaves much longer than it should, and is also VERY stiff in leaf...

We shall see what it does in future!

Looks very robust. I bet it takes off after it's planted in the ground. I love those leaves!

Yes. These hybrids usually split their leaves long before this stage, so this one is a bit unique.

Cool!!!! Maybe heavy on the parajubaea genes on that one. These b x p hybrids are about the coolest palm I can grow down here. I have 4. And they are variable. Deep vs bright green. Flatter leaf vs v shaped. Upright vs drooping

Was this one of these stiff leafed forms originally? Or a regular BxP? Patric has said he only had 4-5 of them come out like this one. He has one larger than mine but it looks the same as mine, so has not gone fully pinnate. These ones holding strap leaves much longer are quite different than most BxP.

Ben , i don't think i have a particular form. I wanted to say that this hybrid remain his leaves not open longer than another palm.

Here is photo from 2016, i didn't find an older one...

Yeah, I have a couple of these much larger...so it’s going to be interesting to see if this one develops differently.
