Hey there to Idaho Palm Guy. I am in Boise I have lots of Needle Palms ( Rapidophyllum hystrix) ; various Sabal minors : S. 'Birmingham'; and Sabal's from Texas, and Oklahoma.;  and Sabal 'Brazoniensis'. My largest Needle palm has about a two foot trunk and leaves are 6-7' tall. All have survived -12F. Sabal' s want more heat than they get here, but next to the building they  love their spot.

Regardless of whether the original Filifera in this thread is alive, it Should be very doable l to grow one there with minimal protection. Temps are pretty mild most of time during winter and it’s usually only a few times that it gets super cold.
