Dypsis pembana hybrid seeds F2

Featured Replies

See the thread in Discussing Palms Forum. This Palm was grow from seed as D. Pembana, but became clear as it got older that it was a hybrid. (Most likely X with D. Madagascariensis). Don’t know what resulting seedlings from this palm will look like, but they will be F2 hybrids. The first inflorescence is about ripe and there are at least 3 or 4 more coming (1000,s of seed)on the two trees. So, I’m going to offer these at a great price in hopes of selling a lot so I can donate funds to Breast Cancer research and St. Jude if I raise enough.$6.50/50 or $10/100 Plus $3.50 US Shipping. Will ship next week!

$100 raised for BC, $100 for St. Jude’s. Their checks went out this morning! There is maybe 500 seeds left from this infructecence if anyone needs larger amount at better price. But there will be lots more available when the other tree’s ripen in a few weeks. Thanks.

Seeds are cleaned and going into baggies today.  Will keep you updated on their progress.  Will be interesting to see how quickly they germinate.

A few of my seeds budded while I was soaking them.   Putting them in baggy with sphagnum peat moss.

My other hybrid pembana on the left now has a ripe infructescence. Probably several 1000 on this one, better price for large amounts.
