Looks like it was a fun trip. I've heard about the snorkeling at Xel-Ha before, is that where the cavern snorkeling was at too?

That animal is the coatimundi or coati (same thing). It's very similar to our raccoons. They live from the Sonoran desert in the North all the way into the Argentine pampas.
