There is something wrong with two of my four date palm seedlings, appears to be completely dead and one is starting to die from the bottom. What could be wrong? I left them in full sun and it is very hot here, could that be the problem?

If they get too wet they will sometimes do this.

I agree I have a bunch of date seedlings and I never soak them. Just keep them nice and moist with good drainage holes in their cups. My room is always set around 80 degrees and 40 percent humidity 

They are probably damping off because you kept the soil too wet and/or poor draining. Remember true date palms are native to dry/desert areas and prefer drier conditions.

If you want a possible solution, you can repot them in drier and better draining soil.  They are pretty tolerant of repotting and grade change, but less tolerant of wet conditions near their bud.

I simply watered them less and the damaged ones came back except for the one that looked dead. Thank you all for your help.
