Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh & Kew Gardens

Featured Replies

I had the pleasure of visiting both over consecutive weekends just recently. Edinburgh came at the end of a 5-day break, and Kew the following weekend, being only 30 minutes away.

Edinburgh has the most impressive fern house, whilst the famous Lodoicea maldivica dominates the Tropical Palm House.

Kew has many more palm species, and with the newly-refurbished Temperate House now open, the Palm House resembles a jungle even more than ever.

Hi John,

thanks for the information. Soon I will visit the botanical garden of Edinburgh and meet Simon. I'm sure this will be a fantastic visit. Will take a lot of pictures there.

Hi Eckhard,

I should have mentioned the links in my post are to Google albums of the photos I took.

You will have a great time, I'm sure!
