Hello all, can someone please help identify this palm. I’m guessing it’s a species of Dypsis, but not very knowledged with them.

Very sought after 30 years ago. Then domestically grown seed became available. Great looking palm, don't like to be overwatered

Yes commonly called the triangle palm, you can see why.

Likes to go bone dry between waterings and then likes a nice drink.

Yours wants to grow. Chop off dead fronds like this:

Thanks for all the replies. It’s actually at my buddies and he’s offered it to me, if I remove it. 

I’m excited to add it to my collection in the future. From my readings, seems a bit moody when dug up,  but will make sure to either hire a professional or learn the correct method for transplanting.
