You should show some of the needle palms that were growing there in the 1990's.

Big Island of Hawaii, windward, rainy side, 740 feet (225 meters) elevation

165 inches (4,200 mm) of rain per year, 66 to 83 deg F (20 to 28 deg C) in summer, 62 to 80 deg F (16.7 to 26.7 Deg C) in winter.

The first photo is a shot of the under story of needle palms.  The next two are are needle palm seedlings.

Brevard County, Fl

Sorry, didn't get that. Thanks for the photos.

Sweetgum (Liquidambar styraciflua), red maple (Acer rubrum), and tulip tree (Liriodendron tulipifera).  The picture is very blurry, and of course there are no leaves on some of these trees this time of year.

I did not take any pictures of Chamaerops.  You were probably referring to the needle palms (Rhapidophyllum hystrix).

Brevard County, Fl

Wow that's strange. I'm sure I posted that reply in the Ravine gardens state park post but somehow it ended up here. Anyway sorry about that. I do love your needle palms too.

Here's an update to those two Beccariophoenix alfredii I posted a few years ago.  One of them bit the dust.

Hard to believe one bit the dust there.  Thanks for the update!

A friend of mine was able to get better pics of the palm(s) in question. Not sure what happened to the second one, but the big one seems nice and healthy
