A friend recently bought an older home in Encinitas which was planted over the last 40 years.  One of the newer plantings, but still before they purchased the home, was a Pritchardia.  I went over to help them id a few things, and while my guess is that this Pritchardia is hillebrandii, I thought I should solicit a couple of other opinions.  Take a look and see what you think.

    Aloha,

    Even without flower, this does look like P hillebrandii to me. I'm only familiar with Hawaii grown plants, but the wavy blade, waxy color and especially the dense fibrous leaf bases are characteristic.
