I've been by this palm several times, it is a bit northeast of where I live. I don't have any photos of it, so this is a really bad, blurry picture from google maps a few years ago.

    SB, Dypsis Lanceolata is a great choice here in Santa Barbara.  I know of a handful of really nice specimens here in town.  Easy to grow too!

    Sounds like a perfect opportunity to try the not often attempted “Spontaneous Unannounced PRA”. Reference The PRA Teams’ PSSC article for the finer points.

    I love to go on covert PRA assignments; especially when it relates to repatriating seeds to my house. In this case I don't have a clear picture of what needs to be done though.

    SB, here is mine.  Sorry for the poor iPhone pic.  

    This is it’s 3rd house it’s been at.  Dug up two other times during the move. Been in the ground for 3yrs now at this house.  All in SB.  Pretty resilient  palm.

    By the way, this house also has multiple triangle palms, a foxtail, huge fishtail palm, and a bottle palm which I believe has been in the ground for well over a year. Really neat place.
